Team building activities (Team Building) is a series of exercises that help your team build cohesion and work through simulating common group problems. Usually used as an educational and training tool for a variety of individuals, group, and either Corporate or Government organizations. In addition, providing Team Building activities is an opportunity for participants to combine individual talents and abilities with an awareness of the need to foster collaboration (team work) and trust in the group.
Team building is also an opportunity to develop yourself and grow. As individuals will push themselves beyond the comfort zone of the participants, able to grow and learn about themselves.
Because everyone has a different level of comfort regarding emotional and physical challenges, then everyone is encouraged throughout the program to set their own challenge goals. This is an idea “Challenge by Choice” should be emphasized at the start of any Team Building program. This helps ensure individuals push the comfort level they are also challenged with. At the end of each activity, participants were given the opportunity to reflect on and debrief their experiences and relate to everyday life. This reflection turns the Experience Team building program into a method for moving toward the long term with positive change.
The following are the objectives of the team building program that we have prepared:
- Increase the feelings and emotions of each participant, self-confidence and creates a feeling of accomplishment.
- Increase participants' understanding of themselves with other participants.
- Develop initiative and responsibility for completing tasks through group planning and teamwork, brainstorming, and problem solving.
- Help facilitate group growth, make it easier for the group to go through a difficult period or process, and developing cohesiveness among group members.
- Develop respect and recognition for the abilities and limitations of each individual.
- Use effective communication skills in group interactions.
- Develop the skills necessary for group interaction.
- Develop Leadership skills (leadership).
- Clarify how participants behave in various situations and what effect that behavior has on the group.
The Experiential Learning Cycle
Many training and learning methods describe how individuals learn through experience. Most have four distinct phases Namely : Experience, Reflection, Processing, dan Applying. Learning Cycle Experiential Learning describe the various stages in a group or individual through experience (experience). Our Facilitator's role is to help participants move through this cycle to learn and derive meaning from an experience. The experience can be anything! Experience can be positive as well as negative, but from all experiences the participants have something to learn. Reflection occurs in a person. Facilitator We can build reflection time into the program being carried out. This is an important aspect of a training program at us. Participants internalize the experiences they have and begin to see the greater meaning of those experiences. Processing can occur in individuals or as part of a larger group. Often in Team Building programs, processing is part of the activity's Q&A. Processing helps find the meaning of the activity. Application (Applying) is a key part of this learning model. The learning from this experience is the emphasis of reflection and processing. Participants will begin to think about how the results of this experience can be applied to their work or daily life.
