For four days, start 14 until 17 January 2026, all participants left their office routine to embark on a journey to Yogyakarta—not just a tourist trip, but a journey to build collaboration, strengthen character, and foster new enthusiasm as one big Electrolux family. The entire range of activities is planned in concept The Challenger Journey Yogyakarta Expedition, that combines adventure, reflection, and experiential learning becomes a complete experience.

The journey begins when the train leaves Gambir Station

Not all journeys begin when someone arrives at their destination. The real journey begins when all participants gather at Gambir Station at night. The atmosphere that is usually filled with busyness has turned into a space of togetherness. Smile, small talk, and enthusiasm filled the departure hall before the train took all participants to Yogyakarta. Traveling by train was chosen not only as a mode of transportation, but as a symbol that every change requires a process.

For hours in the carriage, the boundaries between divisions began to melt. Colleagues who usually only meet in meetings now sit side by side, share a story, laughing together, and enjoy the trip to the city of culture.

Greeting the Nature of Yogyakarta with the Spirit of a Challenger

Arriving in Yogyakarta in the early morning, the journey is not finished yet. After resting for a while and enjoying breakfast, Participants go straight to the Pindul Cave area to start their first adventure. River Tubing is not just an activity along the river. He teaches that sometimes we need to go with the flow, trusting colleagues beside us, and enjoy every process without having to always control everything.

The journey continues towards the Oyo River, where the next challenge awaits. Rock cliff, river flow, and the natural beauty of Gunungkidul is a perfect learning space about courage to face change. Behind the laughter and splashing water, In fact, mutual trust is growing, better communication, and the passion to keep moving together.

A Warming Night of Togetherness

By evening, all participants returned to the hotel to prepare to attend the Gala Dinner. If afternoon activities build a spirit of adventure, maka malam itu menghadirkan suasana yang lebih hangat dan penuh apresiasi. Dalam balutan suasana yang elegan, seluruh keluarga besar Electrolux menikmati malam kebersamaan yang dipenuhi canda, penghargaan, dan cerita-cerita yang mungkin selama ini tidak pernah sempat dibagikan di sela kesibukan pekerjaan.

Karena terkadang, hubungan terbaik dalam sebuah organisasi dibangun bukan di ruang rapat, melainkan di meja makan yang dipenuhi tawa.

The Challenger Trail: Ketika Kepemimpinan Diuji di Tengah Alam

Puncak kegiatan berlangsung pada hari ketiga. Perjalanan menuju Puncak Becici dimulai menggunakan armada Hiace sebelum peserta melanjutkan eksplorasi menggunakan Jeep menuju area kegiatan. Di tengah rindangnya hutan pinus dan panorama khas Yogyakarta, dimulailah program utama bertajuk The Challenger Trail. Berbeda dengan permainan biasa, seluruh aktivitas dirancang menggunakan pendekatan Experiential Learning.

Setiap tantangan menuntut peserta untuk berpikir strategis, mengambil keputusan secara cepat, membangun komunikasi yang efektif, serta mempercayai kemampuan tim. Tidak ada individu yang mampu menyelesaikan seluruh tantangan sendirian. Semua keberhasilan lahir dari kolaborasi.

Melalui berbagai energizing games, rotation challenge, hingga sesi debrief dan awarding, peserta diajak memahami bahwa tantangan terbesar dalam organisasi bukanlah kompetitor di luar sana, melainkan kemampuan setiap individu untuk bekerja sebagai satu kesatuan.

Tema CHALLENGER memiliki makna yang jauh lebih dalam daripada sekadar keberanian menghadapi tantangan. Menjadi seorang Challenger berarti memiliki keberanian untuk belajar.

The last day was a simple but meaningful conclusion. After enjoying the last morning in Yogyakarta and completing the check-out process, Participants continued their journey home to Jakarta. But the trip felt different. Because everyone doesn't just return as the same individual as when they left.
